Meet the Team

Recognizing that the traditional law firm model often falls short in building meaningful, long-term relationships, Meghan Stokes founded the Law Office of Meghan Stokes LLC in 2013 with a client-first approach. By offering flat fees for most services, clients know their costs upfront, eliminating the stress of unexpected bills or charges for simple questions. Meghan believes the attorney-client relationship should be built on trust and communication, not hourly billing. Legal documents are simply a by-product of that relationship.

Meghan serves as a trusted resource for her clients, often supporting them beyond legal matters through connections, referrals, and ongoing guidance.

Her practice focuses on estate planning and real estate law. She helps individuals and families protect their assets and legacies, supports clients with real estate transactions, and advises on growing real estate investment portfolios.

Meghan earned her  undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her law degree from John Marshall Law  School. She has been licensed to practice law since 2011 and has proudly led her own firm since 2013.

She actively contributes to her professional community through her roles with the River North Business Association, where she serves on the Board of Directors, as well as through membership in the BNI Networking Masters chapter and the Metropolitan Club.
